Geriatric Rehabilitation
The Botsford Center for Geriatric Rehabilitation is designed to provide therapy for those elderly individuals over 65 years of age with a variety of illnesses and injuries. The program is located on the Botsford Commons Senior Community Campus in a small, intimate setting with skilled therapists and state of the art equipment to meet the needs of the geriatric population.
Nursing services are available. Drop off your loved one for therapy and if you choose, we will escort them across the hall after their appointment or participation in scheduled activities for the remainder of the day. Feel confident they are in a safe, secure environment while you complete your daily responsibilities before picking them up at the end of the day. (Additional cost involved).
How Do You Know if a Loved One is in Need of the Geriatric Rehabilitation Program?
Have they been falling more at home? Do they experience dizziness when they first get up from lying or sitting position? Have they noticed a change in their walking? Do they require more than one attempt to get out of the chair, or need to use their hands to push?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, consult with a physician and ask for a referral to the Botsford Center for Geriatric Rehabilitation.
