Annette Carron, D.O.
Director of Geriatrics and Palliative Care
Dr. Carron serves as Director of Geriatrics and Palliative Care at Botsford Hospital and leads the experienced team at the Senior Assessment Center at Botsford Commons. Dr. Carron is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatrics. Practicing in her discipline for more than 12 years, she is also a certified medical director, certified in hospice and palliative medicine and was recently awarded a fellowship in the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Dr. Carron is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and serves as a board member of the American College of Osteopathic Internists. Dr. Carron has spoken frequently on pain management, hospice and palliative care.
Theodore Ruza, D.O.
Medical Director of Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatric Unit
Dr. Theodore Ruza serves as Medical Director of the Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatric unit at Botsford Hospital and has played an integral part in the development of the Senior Assessment Center. He served as the Center's first Director and currently consults with Seniors Wellness Group on behavioral and psychiatric aspects of diagnoses and care a the Center. His office is on site. He is also a Clinical Instructor at Michigan State University and regularly presents to medical professionals and community groups on memory issues and the benefits of early detection of dementia.
