Saturday, July 11, 2009, we welcomed back 40 former patients, their families, and a relative of a two former staff members. Along with those present, Wayne State University’s Walter P. Reuther Library Director Michael O. Smith led a team of archivists in cataloguing early photographs and memorabilia from those affiliated with the early hospital.
The collection will afford researchers and those affiliated with the early hospital a unique glimpse into life at the early Farmington children’s hospital.
More than one Reunion attendee was able to locate with some degree of certainty their former room. Attendees represented the years 1929 - 1954, and came from as far as Long Beach, California and Plano, Texas!
